Disaster Relief Packaging

This past Saturday we spent our morning in the hot and sweaty warehouse of Harvest International packaging goods for Haiti. It was awesome. We were packaging disaster relief items in large boxes which would then be shipped overseas. We spent most of the time sorting through sheets, blankets and towels, separating out the soiled or ripped items from the ones that were reasonably good condition.

Our church will be doing this once a month from now on. Although you might call the work "grimy", it was really fun. The best part was knowing that there were people in Haiti right now who really need blankets to keep warm. Very soon, someone would be blessed by the items that we just packed. I love this church!
