Friday In Tennessee

Friday of last week was our final day of our trip to visit my family in Tennessee.

The week was so full, and yet seemed to go by so quickly. It was a huge walk down memory lane for me--seeing places from my childhood all the way through my college years. It was so fun to just spend time with my nieces and nephews and get to know each one of them a little better. It was wonderful to see Tennessee in full Fall color. It did my heart good to see and talk with old friends. I loved spending time with my mom and my sister. Kenneth enjoyed being able to see where I grew up. Selah loved being around all her cousins. And It was monumental for both my husband and I, as Kenneth met my dad for the first time.

It was an incredible week. I'm so grateful to my husband who worked with my sister to set up the trip and surprise me. But I'm overwhelmed to see how God can restore that which was lost. He is truly in the business of reconciliation!
