I officially go on maternity leave today.
Moriah Grace is scheduled to be born by cesarean in three and half weeks, on October 2nd. Although I did actually work a little today and probably will a little more, it still marks the beginning of a new season. I won't be leading worship for the next couple of months. I will be doing less and less and resting more and more.
I think that her birth is not just representative of a growing family, but of a new season. I'm not quite sure what this new season holds for our family, but I know it will be good. We have been in preparation for a it for a while, we have been formed and molded and have grown. And now we are waiting. Waiting on the final touches. Waiting for the vision to become clear and the breath to come.
I'm excited. I know that each and every day of waiting is vital to the completion of the masterpiece. No day is without purpose.
